Oh, goodness! This is one of my absolute favorite children’s books. I used to have my grandma read it to me every time I went to her house! Sadly, she no longer has the book…I probably asked to take it home one day and never brought it back. :/
Anyway, this book has some of my favorite illustrations. Using only blue, yellow, and black (and the white paper), Don Madden made some really beautiful images. The pictures are definitely one of the best things about the book.
